Green Careers Week
Raising Awareness of Careers in the Green Economy
Do you have a passion for a sustainable future where all jobs are green jobs? Are you involved with a green business, organization, school or project? Join the conversation about green careers during the week of February 1-5, 2016 using #GreenCareersWeek and tell us all about it!
We want to get as many people engaged both online and in person as possible to raise awareness of green careers pathways. Green careers are not only new careers - every job, workplace and business can be made more sustainable and green through education and engagement. Throughout the week we will be posting and sharing all sorts of information about green careers, and would love to see YOU participate! Online not your thing? Our team will be attending and hosting career events throughout Simcoe County, so come visit us at one of our locations! Or host your own event at your school, classroom or public meeting space!
Here's how you can participate:
Tweet, Post, Like & Share on Facebook and Twitter using #GreenCareersWeek
Take a picture of you doing your green job and tag us @GreenSkillsSC
Share what you do at work to be more green
Tell us what skills or qualifications you think are important in the green economy
Share interesting articles about green careers
Connect with organizations and schools who are posting and learn more about their programs
Get in touch with businesses where you'd like to work and ask questions
The possibilities are endless, so consider this an opportunity to learn and share how we can all be more green in our careers and support a sustainable workforce! Remember to use #GreenCareersWeek in your posts!
