To develop recommendations and oversee strategies that address the recruitment and retention of physicians for the community served by Stevenson Memorial Hospital and to provide advice, as appropriate to the Minister/Ministry of Health, the local hospital and participating municipalities. |

To date, 15 physicians have been recruited including three specialists.
2007 Committee activities included: Physician Appreciation Breakfast; Rural Health Day (an initiative of the University of Toronto & Rural Ontario Medical Program); and participation at the Health Professional Recruitment Tour held in five Ontario cities and one in Quebec.
Nottawasaga Futures fully participates in this initiative and provides administrative and accounting support. |
