For a weekend getaway or family vacation, Alliston is the place to go. This community offers many opportunities including hiking, biking, camping, canoeing, and swimming. Appreciate fine cuisine at the many restaurants and cafés, or just stop at one of the numerous stores along Victoria Street. You can listen to great music downtown, or walk over to Riverdale Park to take in a Sunday evening Summer Concert. Relive history at the Museum on the Boyne, or simply sit on a park bench, relax, and read a book while soaking up the sunshine.
A rite of passage every spring is watching rainbow trout navigate fish ladders as they make their way up local tributaries along the Nottawasaga River. Camp alongside the Nottawasaga River at Nicolston Dam or at Earl Rowe Provincial Park to make sure you're the first to hit the water before sunrise.
In August, watch the Annual Alliston Potato Festival Parade and take part in all the fun-filled events held during this festival dedicated to celebrating the traditional farming roots of the area.
Come experience the awesome sunsets and the exciting things to do. There is something for everyone, and the locals are friendly too!
