Goals:
To improve transportation links within and outside the area.
Action Items:
Provide bus or shuttle transit within the Town and to external access points (e.g. the GTA, Barrie).
Create a message board on the community web site for potential car-pooling.
Investigate transportation options; including setting up schedules with taxi companies for a reduced rate (e.g. Mon., Wed. & Fri. to local doctors' offices); a "Dial a Bus".
Consider a bypass to eliminate traffic congestion in Cookstown.
Develop existing rail corridors to link surrounding communities.
 Promote reinstatement of rail transportation.
Consider alternatives to the Highway 400 corridor; explore the extension of Highway 427; explore a link between Highway 89 and Highway 404.
