Goals: To work with local business to expand tourism.
Action Items: Improve the tourism approach (e.g. marketing, accommodations, attractions, Lake Simcoe, etc).
Use "All Roads Lead to the Lake" in a major tourism blitz. Provide training programs on, and project the success of the following: eco-tourism, niche markets, pick-your-own, farm holidays with bed & breakfasts, and equestrian trails.
Encourage bed and breakfast establishments and affordable accommodation.
Promote a large hotel development at Highway 400 and the 8th Line.
Create a nucleus of tourism operators interested in expanding marketing and promotion; investigate joint packaging opportunities.
Market the community through the Town's website and local businesses.
