Skills for the Green Economy has developed a green business newsletter to share resources to help businesses go green, and showcase organizations that have.
In this inaugural issue, the Go Green. Grow Strong. newsletter explains the business case for energy efficiency, and gives information on incentive programs for retrofits and upgrades. We've also provided who to contact at local utilities about the programs available in your area. The newsletter also features a local organization that has saved over $3.5 million by increasing their efficiency, and gives links to other sustainability resources to get your business going green.

In this issue of Go Green. Grow Strong, we focus on the global renewable energy boom and how Ontario is doing as part of the shift. We look at the financial and environmental benefits of renewable energy generation for businesses as we explain the difference between the FIT and MicroFIT programs and the forthcoming net-metering program. Finally, we highlight the success of Green Energy Doors Open events that were hosted across the county by local businesses and organizations.

In this issue of Go Green. Grow Strong, we focus on the growing green economy and the opportunities for new and existing businesses as part of the shift. We look at some training and development opportunities that can help transform traditional jobs into green jobs. As well,we highlight green businesses and workers active in Simcoe County through career and business profiles.
